Amber's Nightmare

This pic is a lot darker than my normal stuff, but it was something I felt like doing. This is sort of an illustration of a nightmare Amber has in Book VI, early in her pregnancy. In the dream, she's near term, and Teyaka comes up and starts petting her tummy. Amebr enjoys this an closes her eyes, but suddenly feels three sharp points on her side. She open her eyes, and instead of Teyaka, there's some sort of teyaka-monster there, with claws, sharp fangs, and not a hint of Teyaka's spirit. Amber scrambles to her feet, and the thing slashes at her, leaving three bloody gashes down her side. She scrambles back, and then sees more creatures coming at her from all sides. While she's distracted, the Teyaka-thing sinks its fangs into her foreleg. At this point, she hears Ragnarok calling her name, and wakes up. So anyway, yeah. I dunno. Something I felt like I ought to draw. It deals with a mood and things that I don't normally do, so it was a bit of a challenge, I guess.

Well, who wouldn't be concerned? I barely know anything about her character and I want to comfort her after such a scary dream. As for the pic itself, great job on the body language and the [urp] blood.

Oh, what a releif. ^^ I'm sorry, I never got to tell you that this is an awesome picture! Thumbs up!! (b")b I agree with Evertide, I luff the way you did the blood, and the scared look on her face. Makes me want to squeeze her and tell her everything's okay! ^^

Hehe, thanks Evertide :D Yeah, I've got more stories and art than I've got posted here. The link Evertide posted was to my site, with all my arts and stories and whatnot. Watch the forum here, and I'll post whenever I update with new art or stories. Or jsut check there, I guess ;D

No heartless in this world, Lois ;) It only felt real the way things in dreams do, that sort of otherworldly quality; you know it hurts, but it doesn't really hurt.

I swear, those slashes on Amber's side remind me of the Beginning of "Nightmare on Elm Street." The slashes on Tina in "Elm Street" is almost identical to the ones on Amber.
